What If... you Created Hybrid Animals
Jessie's work combines her deep love for animals with clever wordplay, creating detailed ballpoint pen illustrations of hybrid creatures that delight the eye and spark the imagination. From fantastical combinations of two totally different animals to witty names that bring them to life, her work is equal parts clever, charming, and whimsical.
About the Show
“What If Creations” celebrates the playful spirit of the unexpected. Each piece invites viewers to explore the curious similarities between animals, laugh at the delightful combinations, and marvel at the intricacy of Jessie’s hand-drawn designs. This exhibition is perfect for animal lovers, art enthusiasts, and anyone with a sense of humor and imagination. The opening reception will take place on First Friday in November, offering a chance to meet Jessie and enjoy an evening of art, laughter, and community. Jessie’s What If Creations will be on view at Sevigny Studio PDX throughout the month.
About the Artist
Jessie Fox founded Whatif Creations in 2013 and has been delighting audiences ever since. Her journey began as a counselor for troubled teens, where she used art to connect with her clients. Over time, her sketches of strange and funny hybrid creatures revealed a unique spark that brings smiles, curiosity, and joy to everyone who sees them.
Today, Jessie’s artwork is featured in galleries and gift shops across the country, and she has been a beloved fixture at the Portland Saturday Market for over a decade. With a deep love for animals and a commitment to fun, Jessie continues to create imaginative creatures that captivate art lovers of all ages.
