A big THANK YOU to everyone who attended our Summer Rocks Art Night with Serra Hadsell at Sevigny Studio PDX!
Serra Hadsell brought a collection of hand-picked river rocks along with paint pens and plenty of inspiration to get the imagination flowing. An added bonus: It was a free event, open to walk-ins, making it accessible to everyone in our community.
Painting rocks is an activity that allows for endless creativity and personal expression. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just looking to try something new, you can tap into the relaxing and satisfying fun of rock painting.
Our Summer Rocks event was designed to showcase how painting rocks can be a simple yet meaningful way to make art in your everyday life.
Serra Hadsell helped everyone get started with a simple process: first pick the color and size rock you want to paint, then choose the colors of the paint pens to use (1-3 to start). With rocks and colors selected, people were invited to either sketch their idea with pencil or dive right in with paint pens. Doodles, words, and intricate patterns were all encouraged.
We had some people join us for the whole two-hour event, painting numerous rocks, and others who enjoyed dropping in just to paint a single summer rock then get back to shopping.
They summer rocks we created (and you can at home too!) are a lovely bit of art that is fun to gift to a friend or keep on display. You can place them in your garden or potted plants, out on your desk, or even in your pocket (once the paint dries!).
It was another fun art event here at Sevigny Studio PDX with Serra Hadsell from @SeeYourJoy. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
