This is more than an opening—it’s an invitation to reconnect, through art, with something essential.
The May Exhibit: FLOWERED
FLOWERED is a contemplative collection of fine art floral photography that shifts the way we typically see flowers. Rather than decorative subjects, each bloom is approached as a portrait—held with attention, presence, and respect.
Working in a restrained, intimate visual language, the artist explores themes of impermanence, connection, and the interplay between softness and structure. The images draw you in through subtle detail, tonal nuance, and a quiet sense of rhythm. There’s a tension in the work—between precision and ephemerality—that mirrors the fleeting nature of the subject itself.
This is not work that demands attention loudly; instead, it rewards stillness. The photographs ask the viewer to pause, to notice, and to experience a deeper kind of seeing. Flowers become more than symbols—they act as participants in a shared visual and energetic language, expressing pattern, intelligence, and presence.
Materiality plays a critical role in how the work is experienced. Each piece is printed as a Giclée on Hahnemühle Photo Rag, a surface that holds fine detail while softly diffusing light. The result is a print that feels both precise and atmospheric—echoing the delicate, transient nature of the subject matter.
At its core, FLOWERED offers something increasingly rare: a moment of refuge. In a fast-moving world, these works create space for the nervous system to settle, for the eye to rest, and for a quiet sense of awe to return.

About the Artist: Ariana Harley
Based in Portland, Oregon, the artist behind FLOWERED works at the intersection of art, plant-based education, and holistic wellness. She brings over 15 years of experience exploring the relationship between plants and human wellbeing, integrating this knowledge into a multidisciplinary practice.
Holding a BFA from the Pacific Northwest College of Art, her work is informed by both formal visual training and a deep engagement with the sensory and emotional dimensions of the natural world. As an Artist, Essential Oil Educator, and Wellness Guide, she approaches her creative process with an expanded awareness of how we experience connection—through sight, scent, memory, and presence.
Her photographic practice reflects this perspective. While rooted in visual form, the work carries a broader intention: to create not just images, but felt experiences. Each piece becomes a point of connection—a place where viewers can engage with something beyond surface beauty and reconnect with the living world around them.
